Privacy

Your bookmark files stay on your device.

What the app processes

Bookmark Escape Hatch reads the HTML, JSON, or CSV file you choose. Parsing, normalization, reports, and downloads happen inside your browser. The app never uploads bookmark URLs, titles, tags, notes, or archive metadata.

Local storage

After a successful inspection, the normalized snapshot is stored in this browser’s IndexedDB so you can restore it after a refresh. Use “Clear saved inspection” on the workbench to remove it. Uninstalling the app or clearing site data also removes it.

Network use

There are no analytics, advertisements, third-party fonts, trackers, or remote content requests. A service worker downloads the application files for offline use. Hosting infrastructure may retain ordinary request logs; those requests contain no bookmark contents.

Your control

You can export the neutral archive and reports at any time. The generated files are ordinary JSON, HTML, and CSV. Questions: privacy@sociobot.in.
